A great continuation of the classic 'Halloween'. Picking up exactly where the first film left off, on the night HE came home, the story continues the exploits of boogey man Mike Myers as he stalks Jamie Lee Curtis in a hospital. With the shrink not far behind...
If you watch this right after the original 'Halloween', it's a real treat. It expands on the story and moves like lightning. Good suspense and the added gore (allegedly by Carpenter) still holds up as being good today (especially the needle in the eye gag!).
Nice suspense, tight direction, and Michael Myers killing topless babes (mmmm, Pamela Susan Shoop, what a babe!). There's also some nifty plot twists, as we find out Curtis is the boogey man's sister...ah, MOTIVATION! Who cares, this one is a winner all the way around.
Explosions. Gore gags. Pleasance as the good guy shrink. And a music score by Carpenter and Alan Howarth that is better than the original! Check this one out, especially the widescreen edition on DVD. Five skulls, man.
